So I'm not sure how abandoned this place really is, nor do I know it's history but maybe someone can fill me in? The fenced off area had a number of buildings is disrepair and some cars to boot. I went around the backside of a housing complex and through the woods to get these pictures. There is a nice bridge going across to a walled of area and a locked door. Oh, and a sign about being prosecuted for being their but I'm unsure how much of the area is their land.

Dakiel and I have been in there.  May have to dig-up the pics.

Lol I live like 5 minutes from those buildings, never thought about going in until now, was it intersesting inside Skully?

Found some from 2003. I know the NYLO got flooded out, don't think it reopened.
Don't worry, if you die....We'll make it.

Potiac 026.jpg shows the bridge I was on.

Did you happen to see the building to the left of the mill? There is a brick building in front which is kind of hard to miss but if you walk to the left of the mill there is a wooden building within the fenced off area. I'll see about getting a photo of it.

anyone been inside recently?
No, but my friend drove by and said it looked like there was some renovation going on on the property and that it didn't look worth it.

ughhhhhhh ive explored asylums, schools, hospitals, houses, power houses, clubs, homes, but have yet to explore a mill.... well, I did explore a mill in Georgia that was only a brick shell and was burned down by union troops in 1864.. which is different haha

Dude I can give you a list of mills to explore here in CT but structural integrity is questionable especially after the winter we've had.
I hide in the shadows and babble about old things.  I appear to most new members of IB.  I might beat you with my cane.

that's fine, I'm down :)

I recently checked out this place.  It looks like a newer addition is being used now, but the rest is vacant.  I bushwhacked to the bridge in back and got some pics.  Now to find a discreet entry spot...
Saving history one photo at a time.

Yes, I've been there recently.  It's pretty cool.  Better be careful though.  :police:
Someone left behind a newspaper article (Sept. 14th, 2005) about it closing down.  I thought that was odd.
It's almost like they wanted me to find it.
